Parents Right to Know Curriculum
Parents Right to Know Curriculum
Governor Kay Ivey signed Senate Bill 48 during the 2024 Alabama Legislative Session. This new law requires schools to post a list of classroom curricula on their websites.
Curriculum includes two parts:
- The standards taught in each course.
- The materials (print or digital) used by teachers to teach those standards.
- State standards for all grade levels and courses can be found on the Alabama Learning Exchange Website. To view them, click on the Standards drop down menu and select the subject and grade level.
Current curriculum materials adopted by the Lee County Schools’ Board of Education are listed in the charts below. These resources are instructional tools to support teaching and learning.
Please note that the reading and mathematics programs for grades K-5 meet the requirements of the Numeracy and Literacy Acts.
Parents may also request a list of any additional resources not listed in the classroom or school newsletters.
